Project ShinyDex was created to compile sprites for the regional PokéDex for Generations 2-5. Many sprite resources contain the native shiny sprites for each Generation and family of games, however, they are only in National Dex order.

Many fan resources have compilations of shiny sprites on a single page, but they often don't allow for direct comparisons between the shiny and non shiny at the same time. These resources may also not use the native sprites for specific games.

For these reasons, they ShinyDex was born. Now, shiny hunters can easily compare the front, back, and following sprites for every game from Gold, Silver, and Crystal to Black 2 and White 2. Each ShinyDex is listed in regional PokéDex order, making it easy for hunters to decide what they would like to hunt in each game. My vision is to make this the main resource for shiny hunting.

Note:

This site currently does not feature Pokémon found outside of the Regional Dex. For example, Generation 2 Pokémon found on the Sevii Islands in FRLG are not featured in the ShinyDex. The Pokémon and other features will be added at a later date.
